Why test your devices before a meeting or game?

Nothing is more frustrating than a video call where nobody can hear you, or a game where your controller keeps drifting left. Our tests show you within seconds whether the problem is the hardware, your settings or another app.

  • Mic test: level meter, waveform and a test recording to play back.
  • Webcam test: live preview, real resolution and measured frame rate.
  • Keyboard test: check every key, including ghosting/rollover.
  • Mouse test: all buttons, scroll wheel and unwanted double clicks.
  • Controller test: Xbox, PlayStation and other gamepads including stick drift and vibration.
  • Monitor test: measure refresh rate (Hz) and find dead pixels.

How it works

Modern browsers can access microphones, cameras and input devices through standard APIs (WebRTC, Web Audio, Gamepad API), but only with your permission. Our tests analyze that data exclusively inside your browser. There is no server receiving your video or audio.

Frequently asked questions

Are the tests really free?
Yes. All tests are free forever and require no sign-up. The site is funded by ads and affiliate links.
Is my camera or microphone data stored?
No. Everything is processed locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, recorded or stored. Even the mic test recording only exists in your browser tab.
Do the tests work on phones?
The mic, webcam and monitor tests work on smartphones and tablets too. The keyboard, mouse and controller tests are meant for connected devices but also work with Bluetooth devices paired to your phone.
Which browser do you recommend?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari work best. For the controller test we recommend Chrome or Edge.
